The guest apartments Luisa and Isabella are situated on the ground floor of the farmhouse which has recently been beautifully restored retaining the original characterisics of a tuscan farmhouse;terracotta floor and roof tiles, wooden beams and arched doorways.The elegant, well-equipped rooms are furnished with mainly antique furniture or hand-made by local artisans.
'Le Contessine' ( The countesses ) farmhouse is situated on a natural terrace of Mount Cetona in a tranquil and romantic setting.The property is immersed in 2 hectares of private woodland and parkland and enjoys stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Area Description
The farmhouse is situated only 2 miles from the pretty village of Cetona, officially recognised as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.In the vicinity,guests may visit picturesque hilltop towns of Tuscany and Umbria such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino and Orvieto,taste the fine wines and sample high quality local products or experience the rejuvenating properties of the natural hot springs of San Casciano dei Bagni.We are conveniently located for visiting the main cities of art : Florence,Rome,Siena, Arezzo and Perugia.

The property is only a 15 min. drive from the railway station in Chiusi located on the main Florence-Rome line.Guests can reach Florence or Rome in just over an hour and Arezzo and Orvieto in just 30 mins.Trains and buses also leave regularly for Siena.
